About the Authors of "Culinary Luxembourg"

bar rule

Georges Hausemer Georges Hausemer is not only a great expert on Luxembourg, but also a passionate cook, which makes him seem the predestined author of such a volume. The travel-loving writer, translator, and author of countless broadcast, newspaper, and magazine articles (among others regular reports in "d'Lëtzebuerger Land" and the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung") spent more than 2 years researching the book. Georges Hausemer, born in 1957, lives in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Guy Hoffmann Living in Schifflange, photographer Guy Hoffmann, born in 1962, has already illustrated many books for Editions Guy Binsfeld with his perceptive images. His mastery of the art of culinary photography has also been amply demonstrated in Daco Mond's book "Les secrets de ma cuisine"
Sylvie Bisdorff The typical Luxembourg recipes in this book, more than 100 of them, are by Sylvie Bisdorff, owner of the "Hotel-Restaurant Bisdorff" in Berdorf. This address is known throughout the land for its traditional cuisine: at the turn of the century her grand-mother was already welcoming locals and tourists alike to this idyllic spot in the Müllerthal. Sylvie Bisdorff, born in 1956, learned her trade at the "Lycée technique Alexis Heck" hotel school and from her father Valy Bisdorff whose skills were enjoyed for some seventeen years by the Grand-Ducal family
