A rare and magnificent spectacle that no-one should miss! (especially as it is free!)
Where? When? How?
On August 11th, 1999 the moon will be positioned between the Sun
and the Earth in such a way as to completely cover the sun's disk. The
moon's shadow will be projected on the Earth, thus creating a Total
Eclipse of the Sun.
At 28 minutes past Noon, after the moon will have progressively
masked the sun's disk, this shadow will cover the southern half of the
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. This region will then be plunged in
complete darkness during almost 2 minutes.

Take special care! You will need special protective glasses to
look at the sun without burning your eyes!
